Exchange Meeting
Dong Thap Province & Japan 2014

In 12th March 2014, People Committee of Dong Thap Province, in collaboration with Minh Tran company to organize the meeting workshop regarding cooperation in investment promotion between Dong Thap province and Japan. The workshop has the contribution of General Consul of Japan in Vietnam Mr Hida Harumitsu, representative of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and general directors of Japan corporations in Vietnam including Acecook, Fujitsu and Nissin. Many local businesses also participated in this event, especially companies from Dong Thap provine and Ho Chi Minh City.

In this meeting, the province’s authorities introduced natural conditions and potentials of the region. Japanese also participants shared their experience of difficulties, expectation during their operation in Vietnam. Chairman of People Committee, Mr Lê Minh Hoan stated that the authorities will actively collaborate with the investors, gathering feedbacks to improve future investment promotion programs.

Mr Hida Harumitsu expressed enthusiasm and impression of the potentials of Dong Thap and stated he hopes there will be more cooperation between Japan and Vietnam businesses in the future.
